What is Crystal Brigade?

Tactical Roguelite RPG

Imagine if Shining Force and Hades had a baby? Blending the meta-progression and replayability of roguelites with the strategic, turn-based combat of classic tactical RPGs on a hexagonal grid.

Every Decision Matters

Recruit heroes, assemble your brigade, and experiment with team compositions and equipment/skill loadouts to adapt to an evolving, non-linear campaign. Every choice, from the paths you take to your positioning in battle, impacts outcomes and can make the difference between victory and defeat.

Each Run Makes You Stronger

Even in defeat, you move forward. Resources gathered during each run unlock new abilities, equipment, classes and world progression. Strengthen the heroes of your brigade and discover new strategies to overcome ever-greater challenges.

Who am I?

I'm Owen Moore (aka OWMO), an artist and creative developer.

I worked for nearly a decade in VFX and animation as a developer supporting artist's workflows, all while yearning to pursue my own creativity. I had a lucky break in developing algorithmic artwork for niche collectors and achieved the dream of being recognized as an artist, using code no less!

I've tasted what it felt like to achieve one of my "creative bucket list" items. I'm ready to take on the next one... developing an indie video game!

As a multidiscipline creative / technical generalist, I love wearing ALL the hats and find joy doing everything myself. Exploring different mediums and finding ways to bring it all together is my jam. Code, music, art, shaders... I love it all :)

I'm in my early 40s now and feel I have both the skills and a touch of wisdom needed to work diligently and move towards a successful release.
